First stage of AstroCamp 2024 selection concluded
The AstroCamp 2024 applications period ended on April 30. The first stage of the evaluation has been done, and the candidates shortlisted for the second stage of the selection process have been notified by e-mail on May 9.

Some statistical information about the candidates (the numbers are approximate):
- 40% of the candidates are boys and 60% girls;
- 60% of the candidates are Portuguese and 40% from other countries;
- 80% of the candidates study in public schools and 20% in private school.

New AstroCamp format
Starting in 2024, the AstroCamp becomes a three-year programme. Students can apply to it in the antepenultimate year of their secondary education, start by participating in a summer school, and subject to a sufficiently good performance therein will be able to join various other remote and in person activities in the two subsequent years.
